AutoMEMS
Developed a CAD analysis tool utilizing the boundary element method for MEMS analysis. This was attractive since the 3D model could be automatically generated from the 2D masks. Multipole acceleration was used to reduce the memory and runtime to O(nlogn). Coupled elastostatic and electrostatic analysis for MEMS was supported. This product had multiple licensees and OEM licensees. This work was supported by the Darpa BAA Neocad.

Developed a CAD analysis tool utilizing the boundary element method for interconnect analysis. This was attractive since the 3D model could be automatically generated from the 2D masks. Multipole acceleration was used to reduce the memory and runtime to O(nlogn). Exterior electrostatic fields were solved for distributed capacitance, and interior electrostatic fields were solved for resistivity. This product had multiple licensees and OEM licensees.
